How To Be A Happy Muslim

book review, sheila sumer, fbpublishing

I am glad to have been given the opportunity of reviewing the book, ‘How To Be A Happy Muslim Insha’Allah’, written by Sheima Salam Sumer, a trained counselor. This book claims to make you “Rise Above Your Problems and Choose Inner Peace and Joy with Ideas from the Quran, Sunnah, Counseling and Health Fields”.

This topic is vast, too vast as ‘How to Become A Happy Muslim’ covers a whole lot of aspects and factors that are needed by every individual to become a contented and a happy person in life.

What qualities, what actions and what thoughts will drive a Muslim to the way of utmost satisfaction and contention? Are we all not on the verge of performing our daily activities and almost always, in love with our worldly attachments? We strive each day to gain success and fame, wealth and power in this world but are these the real elements of success? And the ultimate solution to matters in life?

The author, Sheima Sumer does an excellent job in mentioning that happiness in life cannot be attained immediately or with the taking of a single step. In fact, it requires a lifelong full of commitment and effort towards implementing a positive attitude in all the aspects of life that will lead you to achieving an inner contention and joy.
